All Mortal Creatures Must Die

by Nocrul

1.
Terrible darkness descending upon the galaxy And we shall not see it ended in our lifetimes A mysterious race of robotic skeletal warriors Soulless creations and servants of the Star Gods They have been waiting million of years in their stasis-tombs To wake up in grim purpose: to stride across the stars once again Ripe for conquest and the restoration of their empire They goal: to bring the galaxy under their rule once more Their technological prowess is unmatched By anyone in the galaxy The undying have come to reclaim their lands And the living shall be swept aside The unstoppable, undying Necron legions are rising Let the galaxy beware They are coming Their lost all forms of compassion and empathy Becoming ruthless, undying killing machines They shall rule supreme for all eternity Undying, cruel and utterly implacable

Just as the stars gave birth To their children So the planets of the Newborn galaxy Eventually gave birth to lifeforms Composed of matter which began The long evolutionary Climb to self-awareness The birth of the entities Known as the Star Gods Occurred at the same time As the moment of Creation itself As they formed from the vast Insensate energies first unleashed By that churning mass Of cataclysmic force In that anarchic interweaving of matter and energy The sea of stars began to swirl into existence Long before the first planets had formed and cooled The very first truly self-aware beings emerged Their thoughts encased within the lines of force Produced by the flares of the stars themselves Beings of pure energy They paid no mind To the hunks of solid matter They passed in the vacuum of space The blazing geothermal fires And weak geomagnetic fields Of these nascent planets insufficient To be worth feeding even their ravenous hunger

The Necrontyr could never win against the Old Ones They became exiled and forgotten Their fury was cooled by their long millennia Of imprisonment on their homeworld Slowly transforming into an utter hatred Towards all other forms of intelligent life And an implacable determination to avenge themselves Upon their seemingly invincible enemies When the Silent King saw what had been done He knew at last the true nature of the C'tan And of the doom they had wrought in his name They came to us as gods and we, like fools, took them at their word Mephet'ran the Deceiver Aza'gorod the Nightbringer Iash'uddra the Endless Swarm I curse their names ...and the names of all their malevolent brethren With the C'tan and the Necrons fighting as one The Old Ones were now doomed to defeat Planets were razed, suns extinguished And whole star systems devoured by black holes Necron legions assailed the Old Ones In every corner of the galaxy Harvesting the life force of the defenders To feed their voracious C'tan masters The price of the victory was a terrible fate: Transforming into and undying and soulless race Szarekh, the last Silent King betrayed the C'tan Imprisoning them in the arcane extradimensional devices Necrons continued to extinguish life across the galaxy...
4.
The weak will always be led by the strong Where the strong see purpose and act, the weak follow Where the strong cry out against fate The weak bow their heads and succumb There are many who are weak And many are their temptations Pity them not and scorn their cries of innocence It is better that one hundred innocently dies Than one kneels before the Daemon The Daemon has many forms You must know them all You must tell the Daemon from his disguise And root him out from the hidden places Trust no-one Trust not even yourself It is better to die in vain Than to live an abomination And in that time the Great Beasts shall walk the earth Beneath their tread shall cities become as dust By their burning breath shall civilisations be as ash So the End of Days is begun
5.
They are the Emperor's left hand And stand in judgement over all They are apart from the rest of Mankind They are arbiter of absolute truth They command fear And respect in equal measure They are creatures of myth As much of flesh and blood Their all-seeing eyes Condemns or absolves with impunity Steely gaze - starkest terror Tales of death and destruction They do care little for morality And nothing at all for the laws Fighting in the darkness for centuries Hunting down any and all of the myriad threats Tradition is irrelevant Decades of blameless Existence count for nothing Ignorance matters not one whit One life is meaningless When set upon the galactic scale Global survival is the only goal They are the heroes their times require
6.
Some may question your right to destroy ten billion people Those who understand know that you have no right to let them live No sacrifice is too great No treachery too small There is no place for the weak-willed or hesitant Only by firm action and resolute faith will mankind survive No sacrifice is too great No treachery too small Orbital Bombardment Unleashing of full thermonuclear blasts Release a special bomb Known as the Life-Eater Virus Designed to quickly spread and destroy All organic cellular structures Cyclonic Torpedoes Complete destruction of the planetary biosphere Its atmosphere burned away into the void And its oceans boiled to vapor Leaving behind the barren bedrock of a Dead World
7.
The Purge 04:51
A warband dedicated to the Chaos God Nurgle, the Plague Lord They despise life in all its forms And have waged pitiless wars Having seen first hand the dread threat of Chaos They believe that the civilisations are hopelessly corrupt And that the only salvation lies In the sterility of death They pray nightly to the God of Plagues For a mighty pandemic that will destroy every sentient being When The Purge attack a world Famine, pestilence and death soon follow Who witness the pestilence and starvation They have no illusion to their true allegiance They are infamous for their conduct of genocidal campaigns And the indiscriminate use of chemical weapons on every and all All mortal creatures must die Only then can the galaxy be reborn anew

about

CD & MC: bit.ly/3C2jlZX

This is our slowest, least brutal, less kick-ass sounding, but most atmospheric album. None of the instruments was important on its own - every unnecessary note, hit was removed. The only and ultimate goal was to create atmosphere using everything as one.
